The race will go on, rain or shine!  As the Europeans say, there is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing.  In case of rain, feel free to bring umbrellas, rain jackets and rain pants.

If the race is canceled due to an act of God or poor air quality, Animal Run will provide race credits for the next year or refunds, whichever is preferred.

Great question! Animal Run registration prices cover not just your contribution to the animal welfare organizations, but also the remaining cost of providing your race experience. As such, registration fees are not tax-deductible.

Canicross is short for canine-cross country.  Originating in Europe as off-season training for the mushing (sledding) community, it’s become popular as a stand-alone sport all over Europe, especially in the UK, and now growing in the US.  Dogs enjoy free registration for canicross teams. Please remember to have your fur baby on leash at all times at the park. Please kindly remember to place poop baggies in the trash.

If you would like your animal welfare organization to be an Animal Run beneficiary next year, please contact us for more information at theanimalrun@gmail.com

We do not issue refunds unless something catastrophic prevents the race from happening such as an act of God or if wildfires cause poor air quality. We do not issue refunds for rain.

Please remember that your registration fee goes to various non-profit organizations as well as toward the cost of putting on the race, which has already been prepaid by Animal Run.  Thank you for understanding.
